How To Learn SEO Fast?

SEO (search engine optimization) has been around for several years now, and many marketers have tried to learn it.

If you’re reading this article, the chances are that you’ve attempted to study SEO already.

You may even have mistakenly believed that mastering search engine optimization requires a lot of time.

Maybe you’ve thought that learning SEO is similar to memorizing a dictionary – or cramming one down your throat until its contents are permanently embedded into the deep recesses of your mind:

SEO is something that can’t be learned in a few days – or weeks – or months…

Or so I used to believe. But, now, I’m here to tell you otherwise. Why? Because after spending hundreds of hours marketing my SEO websites and teaching SEO to students, I’ve come to realize that the more you know about search engine optimization…

Yes, it’s true: the longer you devote yourself to learning SEO, the better you’ll become at it. But this only becomes a problem when your success depends on how long it will take for you to learn all of these “tricks” and “shortcuts.”

If your livelihood is contingent upon your ability to master SEO in years, not months…then yes – chances are that your skills will never be good enough.

But if you’re like most people (especially if you have a regular day job or want an extra income stream), then this article is written for you!

How Long Will It Take to Learn Search Engine Optimization?

The question is: How long will it take for you to learn SEO? And the answer is: not very long at all. If we were to measure how much time it takes to touch-type, then I would say that learning search engine optimization requires even less time than that.

Let me explain what I mean by this.

Touch typing can be learned in a few weeks or months (depending on your skills). But once you’ve mastered it and can “touch type” like the wind – you’ll never have to work harder than when you first learned it; It’s just always there – waiting for the next word or sentence to appear before your eyes so that you may strike them out with your flying fingers.

If you want to master search engine optimization, don’t worry about how long it will take to learn it. Instead, focus on understanding and applying the basic principles of SEO. Once you’ve learned these fundamental concepts, they will always be there waiting for your next question or challenge in the form of a new link-building project or a competitor’s webmaster forum profile!

And speaking of learning SEO fundamentals – that’s what this post is about

There is a lot to learn about search engine optimization. Unfortunately, this can easily cause an overwhelmed feeling when you are just getting started on your search engine optimization journey. The information and advice from the web can be conflicting and demanding to understand for someone who doesn’t know where to begin.

So, the first thing that you need to understand is that you will not learn SEO in 1 hour! It takes time. You will make mistakes, and you will have to learn from them. But don’t worry – I am here for you, and I have been at this point as well!

The most important thing is not how quickly can we learn SEO fast but what do we want?

Do we want instant gratification? If yes, what kind of learning is it? It’s “one-time” learning. If no then it’s learning, which takes some time because there are many factors involved. So choose wisely!

Let’s get started with the five tips to learn SEO fast in one year or two years if you are a little more patient!

1. Understanding The Basics of SEO & How Search Engines Work

This is the very first thing to do. You should understand what search engine optimization and its importance for your website/blog are. You should know how search engines work, how they crawl your site, index it, etc. If you want to learn SEO fast, then it’s essential that, on the one hand, you know the basics of SEO, but at the same time, also don’t forget the basic coding skills.

Another essential thing in this step is keyword research – yes, keyword research with keyword planner or something like that!

Because before start doing any optimization or even content marketing on your site/blog, you need to choose the right keywords for your content; otherwise, you will waste a lot of time and money on the wrong keywords!

2. Learn How To Create Content

Many newbies make the mistake that they start with SEO optimization without having any idea about the content. This is not good because it’s impossible to succeed in seo without creating unique content (part of search engine optimization).

The best thing is to create an outline before writing a single word. You can write down what topics you want to cover, but don’t forget the keyword research – if this doesn’t fit into your goal, then it’s worthless. Please write as many drafts as you need until you are happy with it.

Once you finish with an outline, then make a plan to improve your search engine optimization by creating valuable content.

3. Start Improving Your On-Page SEO Techniques

There are many easy things that you can do with your WordPress blog/website to get the most out of it. Things like page titles, meta descriptions, keywords in URL, etc.).

I have made a post about this before – you should read it! Then think and find what else can be done on the “on-page” technique side! Don’t forget the basics – title tag, H1 & H2 tags and don’t add unnecessary stuff! In addition to this, also learn how anchors work because the next thing we need is links.

4. Get Backlinks & Other Link Building Techniques

The first thing that you need to know about link building is this – it takes time!

Don’t do black hat SEO or other shady stuff because they won’t benefit you. The best way to build backlinks is through blogging (guest posts etc.) and social media marketing.

Do as many guest posts as possible on sites related to your niche but don’t forget the keywords in anchor texts. Besides, there are many other ways to get links, such as video marketing, infographics, social bookmarking, etc., so use your creativity!

5. Monitor Everything And Keep Improving Your Efforts

Last but not least – monitor everything! You can use tools like SEMRush or Ahrefs to see how your content is doing and the situation if you are doing backlinking manually. You can also use other tools to improve yourself a little bit – Google Analytics or HubSpot etc.!
